i! I'm Lisa Ivy, I bought the male blue chihuahua that you sent to NY.
I just signed your guestbook, and I thought I'd send you off some pictures at the same time.
My husband and I named him Wolfgang. :)

These two (in his PJ's at bedtime) are definitely proof that he's tough! You know when you should keep back from a mean dog!!! :)

Some of Our Guys and Girls!

Little or nothing is know of the previous history of the Toltecs, it has been established they existed in what is now Mexico as early as the 9th  century A.D., and that during several centuries of occupancy they had a breed of dog called the Techichi, this dog was small, although not tin, and heavy bone structure. Their coats where long and a most distinctive feature was muteness.
The evidence that the Toltecs and Techichi where found with carvings on cave walls and pictures of stone on monastery walls as well.
The conclusions of K.de Blinde a Mexican and authority spend years on horseback traveling the sections of his country where that the present form of Chihuahua we know today where a cross breeding of the Techichi with a small hairless dog brought from Asia to Alaska over a land bridge where now we know as the Bering Strait. This so called hairless dog was similar to the one found in China, is to believe to be responsible for the reduction in size as we know today.
These dogs where very spiritual in the eyes of the Aztecs and where held to be sacred, common people found very little use for this breed during these early days. The phenomenon is believed due to the part the dog played in religious and mythological life of the Aztecs. They employed a connection with the worship of deities, with the voyage of the soul in the underworld. In relation to the human body, they believed that by burning the dog and burning them beside you at your death it was to take away your sins that the sins would be transferred to the dog that the human had encountered.
The modern Chihuahua is quite different for its early ancestors. With colors and hair texture now being more evident verses the early introduction of this breed.
Curiously the Chihuahua is clannish, recognizing and preferring there own kind and as a rule not liking dogs of other breeds.
